Gretsch g9200 Boxcar ResonatorSummary: Here we have a Gretsch Resonator which we believe originally came from us some years ago. It's a wonderful Resonator for not too much money so it's a great entry step into the world of these instruments. Gretsch always make a great quality instrument, this one does have some battle scars. This has been reflected in the price. Model: G9200 BoxcarYear built: 2010sHard case or Gig Bag? - Sadly no case with this guitar, the guitar will be super well packed for safe shipment.Body Condition: 6/10From a few feet away it looks excellent. On close inspection you will find some heavy signs of wear and tear, Some scratches, polishing swirls, a lots dings in the top and around the sides of the body. These are purely cosmetic and not affecting the structure of the instrument. Various scratches to the back and sides too. I have captures the worst of these in the photos.Neck: 7/10 The frets are in good condition with signs of light wear and tear on the open chord end, certainly no need for any fret work in the immediate future. The neck is sighting good so no cause for concerns over a neck reset anytime soon either. The back of the neck has a few scuffs and dents you can feel when playing the guitar, however it really doesn't take away from the playing experience. No headstock breaks or major damage, just a few scuffs again in the top of the headstock. There is a chip on the bass side of the fingerboard by the 12th fret (see pics) Hardware: 8/10The machineheads are original and in good working order, some signs of tarnish over the bridge and metal cover. To be expected on a used guitar.Electrics: N/APlayability:This guitar has been lovingly set up by Jon, one of the UK's most highly regarded and experienced guitar techs. That doesn't mean this guitar is the best playing guitar ever, it just means that he has taken the time to set it up. Adjust the action, intonation etc so that it plays as well as can be expected and stays in tune as good as any guitar of this type does. We all have differing styles and demands from our instruments. Some of us like fast n low actions for fretboard burning licks, others prefer a high n mightly action for show stopping windmills and downtuned heavy riffing and everything in between.
