SHURE SM57 seltene Ausgabe (earliest model)

SHURE SM57 earlier edition

So, before the SM57 there was an other MIC from SHURE, the SHURE 545…

This MIC was silver in the mass production. At the end of the duration of this mic there were some studio MICs (SHURE 545 C) and some custom models (SHURE 545 SD for example…)

And the construction form of this MICs was the basis for the SHURE SM57!

Very less models, like this microphone, show the case shape of the old 545…

The new /  current / in series produced MIC has a conic handle, thickens in the middle of the MIC and has a straight medium-shaft.

The current SHURE 545 and the „earliest-models“ have a medium handle, which is a little bit conic, besides the captian are different…

…among the XLR plug the fixtures are different…

The most significant:
1) the old printing / writing style of the word DYNAMIC, moreover the first „grid-structure-art“ (later the grid on the Top was formed different)

2)  this MIC has the early designed head, which distinguish just minimal, the grape of the grid, the make of the ring at the top end (where SM57 stands) and the gap between head-capsule-housing…

Especially to signify now as before:

The handle, the form of the handle and the font … which changed significant in the mass production of the SM57
