The Meinl B14DUH Byzance Dual HiHat 14" is a hand hammered pair of B20 Bronze cymbals with a unique sound and appearance. The Byzance Dual HiHats are handcrafted in Turkey by experienced cymbal makers. Only an outer ring is lathed and polished to achieve a brilliant finish, the inner part is left natural. In addition, the underside of the cymbals is given a traditional finish. The sound follows the exciting look: First earthy and full with deep attack, then assertive with controlled sustain.

The Dual HiHats from the Byzance Extra Dry series offer a visually  strong hybrid finish with an unlathed, raw area in the middle and a lathed and lacquered edge. Different sized hammer marks cause an irregular compression of the material, which gives the sound more complexity and shortens the sustain. The versatile Dual HiHat can be used very dynamically and produces a short but full sound, just right for moderate styles like Jazz, Funk or R'n'B.
