The Electro Harmonix Pitch Fork is a polyphonic pitch shifter and harmonizer which allows you to increase or decrease the pitch to all the three octaves. In addition, the Pitch Fork offers the opportunity to select a fixed pitch or to set these by an external expression pedal. The latter is optional and can be connected via a jack on the Pitch Fork.

Electro Harmonix has placed great emphasis on the intuitive operation of the stompbox. So the dual-switch determines, for example, whether a high or low pitch voice or two voices can be heard simultaneously. Within these three options the Shift knob additionally provides a choice between eleven intervals. The mix between the dry signal and the effect signal is selected by the Pan Control. The Electro Harmonix stompbox therefore opens up a whole world of different sounds.

The latch switch can be used in the latch or in the momentary position. In the latch position of the EXP input between effect and bypass signal is switched. The external expression pedal then controls the amount of pitch Shiftings of the EHX pedal. In the second mode, the effect is only used when the foot switch is being held. The position of the expression pedal controls the speed with which the pitch changes from the original setting. Without external pedal the standard rate of glissandos is 60 milliseconds.
