Here we have a 2018 Fender Player Telecaster in the classic Butterscotch Blonde finish – an honest, no-nonsense Tele. An instrument that does exactly what a good Tele should do: direct, dynamic and full of character.

The guitar is in excellent condition. It shows hardly any signs of use and only has a small finish crack at the neck pocket – a purely cosmetic flaw that is not unusual on bolt-on Fender necks. The hardware is also in very nice condition.

The Modern C neck with its comfortable satin finish feels fantastic in the hand and offers excellent playability. Tonally, it does exactly what you would expect from a good Tele: clear, direct, punchy and with that unmistakable Tele twang. In short – it simply works.

The factory fretwork, however, was not quite up to the standard we like to see. We therefore carefully leveled, recrowned and polished the frets and then gave the guitar a complete setup. It now plays exceptionally smoothly with an excellent action.

A classic Fender Telecaster that not only looks the part, but also offers everything you would expect from a modern Tele in terms of playability.
