I purchased this beauty in Hamburg at a shop in the early 2000s, or was it late 90s? I had it professionally serviced regularly at the shop I purchased it at.
I did not do the voltage change as you can see on the back side 220 v has been added after modifications.
Fully functional and instinctual design, with minor cosmetic wear. (it is after all from the 70s ).
Original knobs are all there.
The power cable has its own little closet.
The K-2 is famous for its unique "Traveler" filters, dual oscillators, and warm, expressive monophonic lead and bass tones.
Key Features and SpecificationsType: Monophonic Analog SynthesizerOscillators: Dual oscillators with triangle, sawtooth, and square waveforms (detunable for a thicker sound)Filters: Korg’s distinctive "Traveler" filter system (high-pass and low-pass filters) with unusual control names like Bender (auto-bend) and Expand (envelope)
Market Context: Unicord distributed Korg synthesizers in the US under the Univox brand, making the K-2 effectively a rebadged Korg 700S.
Looking for a new studio, I’ve really enjoyed this UniVox
UniVox Korg K2 serial number 00701 (were there just 900 produced of this series?). This keyboard was at the time very portable and made it possible to take these daring sounding synths on tour.
