Open-back headphones provide a natural, spacious sound not dissimilar to listening on big full-range speakers, and are the headworn weapon of choice for audiophiles and mix engineers alike. What open-back headphones lack in isolation, they more than make up for in their pure sound with true-to-life bass response and imaging.
