About this listing
Tube-Tech SMC 2B Stereo Multiband Compressor, manufactured in Denmark by Lydkraft.A high-end analog three-band stereo compressor designed for mastering, mix-bus and precision dynamics work. The SMC 2B divides the signal into low, mid and high frequency bands, with independent threshold, ratio, attack, release and gain controls for each band. Adjustable crossover frequencies allow the compression ranges to be tailored to the program material.Additional controls include channel balance, overall output gain and compression/bypass switching. Balanced XLR inputs and outputs. Rear-panel voltage selector allows operation at 115V or 230V.This is an original Lydkraft Denmark-built unit, serial number 110024.Used professionally in a mastering/studio environment and has been a great tool for controlling difficult program material while retaining considerably more flexibility than a conventional broadband compressor.ConditionGood used condition and fully functional. The unit shows cosmetic wear consistent with professional studio use and its age, including rack rash, scratches, marks and some paint wear around the chassis and rack ears. The top cover also shows surface scratches and wear. Please review the photos closely, as they form part of the condition description. The front-panel labeling remains clear, all knobs and switches are present, and the rear XLR connections and power section are intact. This is not a cosmetically mint example, and it is priced accordingly. It is a genuine, professional Lydkraft-built SMC 2B intended to be put back to work rather than displayed.Tube-Tech SMC 2B — Lydkraft DenmarkSerial: 110024Voltage: Switchable 115/230VI/O: Balanced XLRFormat: 3U rackmount
