About this listing
The 2023 "10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594," limited to 1,000 units, is now in stock as a pre-owned model! * From the manufacturer's website The S2 series was launched in 2013 with a design that expresses PRSfs guitar-making skills, experience, and attention to detail in a simpler, more straightforward way. Starting with a lineup of three models, including the S2 Custom 24, the series has expanded to include over 10 models in total over the past decade, with the S2 McCarty 594 being the newest addition. This 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 is a special model worthy of celebrating the 10th anniversary of the S2 series. The S2 McCarty 594 features a maple top, mahogany back, 24.594-inch scale, 22 frets, a Vintage Neck profile, and a PRS two-piece bridge. As special features of this anniversary model, it features a Cuban mahogany neck with mother-of-pearl bird inlays and is equipped with USA-made 58/15LT pickups. PRS has devoted an enormous amount of time to pickup research, including sound and design. The 58/15LT pickups, which are now installed through the TCI process, were inspired by vintage sounds. They possess the transparency and delicacy of vintage single-coil pickups while being designed to achieve the warm sound produced by late 1950s humbuckers. These pickups produce a dynamic, organic sound, with rich mids intertwined with perfectly balanced highs and lows. The 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 is a limited edition of only 1,000 units. Named "Stevensville 2" to signify the second production line built within the PRS factory in Stevensville, Maryland, the S2 series began operations as a new price-point lineup combining new manufacturing methods with exceptional quality control and craftsmanship. Over the past decade, the business has grown significantly, and parts of the manufacturing process have now been integrated into the production lines for Core and Bolt-On models.
