1978 Ibanez George Benson GB10 .....w/ George Benson/MGM ProvenanceThis particular GB10 was raffled off by George Benson Himself !!, in conjunction with his Warner Brothers label exec in Portland, Ore in April of 1979. Presented to its original owner by George & his WB exec (Check to last picture, a Zerox of the original photo) The guitars actual build date is December 1978 Included is the Original Ibanez Aluminum Case ! (check the last picture, its there!) This is a Great sounding / Great playing early GB10 The original Frets show little to no wear It is a 100% Original 48 year old vintage guitar Nut Width: 1-11/16" Scale Length 24 7/8" Lower Bout 14 1/2" Aside from the description below this guitar is in excellent overall condition. There is some binding deterioration that most all GB10's suffer as a result of the pickgaurd gassing off in the case, having been stowed many of its years over 4 decades. There is a little chipping of the binding at the backside of the upper bout that has been stabilized. Some of the gold plated parts show signs of Tarnish & Patina as well ..
