About this listing
Gretsch introduced the Anniversary series in 1958 to mark the company's 75th year as a guitar maker, positioning it as a more affordable alternative to the flagship 6120 Chet Atkins while sharing much of its construction. The 6125 is the single-pickup, two-tone-finish version, built on the same fully hollow, 16-inch-wide body as the 6120. Early examples (1958-1960) carried a single Filter'Tron humbucker; from 1961 onward Gretsch switched to the single-coil Hi-Lo'Tron, the configuration on this 1962 example. It's finished in the original Two-Tone Green (Smoke Green), paired with a G-cut tailpiece and a rare palm tremolo, a vibrato unit not commonly seen on these. At 2.85kg it's unusually light even for a fully hollow design, and that shows up in the feel as much as the tone: warm, woody and articulate, with real resonance unplugged.Wear is consistent with age throughout. The fretboard is in excellent condition, everything is original, and it comes with its original case.FeaturesBody Style: Hollow archtopBody Wood: Laminate mapleNeck Material: MapleFingerboard: Rosewood, thumbnail inlaysFrets: 21Scale Length: 24.5"Pickup: Single Hi-Lo'Tron (neck position), originalControls: 1 volume, 1 tone, pickup selector switchBridge: Unconfirmed (your source listing conflicts between "roller bridge" and "Stop-Bar", needs checking)Tailpiece: G-cut tailpieceVibrato: Palm tremolo (rare variant)Finish: Two-Tone Green (Smoke Green)Weight: 2.85kg (notably light for a fully hollow archtop)Made in: USACase: Original case included (heavy case, shipping priced accordingly)
