The Case...This guitar comes in its original Gibson Lifton Reissue case. This is the more historically accurate version that uses foam wedges to make it more secure. There is storage wear and some frayed ends to the fabric, but overall, a very nice case!Inside the case compartment sleeps the COA that was specificially made for 2019 Summer NAMM Show guitars as well as the hangtag that tells us this is the Royal Teaburst color. There are other paperwork in the case tooThe Guitar! 8lbs 5oz | '59 NeckThis was displayed at the Summer NAMM Show in 2019! Besides the cool COA, this Les Paul has a pretty nice figured maple top, but I think the true showstopper is the fretboard - look at the woodgrain and colors!This was played at the NAMM show and presumably by its previous owner. I did a light wipe-down to make it feel nice again, but not remove the VOS appearance. I also did a fret polish with new 10 gauge strings installed on 10-6-26. Here are my condition findings:- a few tiny dings sitting directly below the tailpiece- some hazing to the finish in the arm rest area when viewed in discerning light.- some light dings on the back of the guitar as well as one larger one. These hide until you get them in the light-some other various light wear marks across the guitar when viewing in the lightI suspected some mild color-change stand rash so I did a blacklight test. The only thing that came up was a "chickenfoot" on the back of the neck.This is a factory VOS finish so some swirls in the clear coat are expected. Overall, I'd call this a 8.5-9/10 on a picky scale. NAMM guitars are rarely mint so I'd still consider this one collector's gradeThe tone is very nice - harmonically rich with a "woody" tone. I enjoyed playing this quite a bit. I'd suggest your own personalized set up upon delivery and rock it out!
