KGR Harmony Oroshi Compressor

The Oroshi is a boutique compressor handcrafted in Japan, inspired by the legendary Ross Compressor but enhanced with modern features. Its aim is to deliver smooth, natural, and musical compression, ideal for smoothing out playing without crushing dynamics. It features two simple controls (Sustain and Volume) as well as a 3-position selector switch that alters how the compression affects low frequencies: a light setting for greater transparency, a classic Ross-style setting, and a deeper setting that boosts the bass. Its casing is made of Nanbu-tekki cast iron, a traditional Japanese craft, giving it a unique look and an impressive weight of approximately 600g. It is particularly appreciated as an "always-on" compressor, providing sustain, balance, and presence without excessively coloring the sound. Its handcrafted construction, original aesthetics, and musicality make it one of the most distinctive compressors on the market.
