Super rare and highly collectible 1983 (pre) pre-historic Gibson Les Paul ‘Standard 83’ in vintage cherry sunburst finish.

This guitar is 100% factory original with no repairs or mods and has the highly desirable Tim Shaw PAF pickups which sound phenomenal.

The lightweight 4.14kg (non-chambered) Honduras mahogany body resonates beautifully when unplugged and sounds colossal when plugged into a nice tube amplifier.

The guitar is in excellent condition with only minor play wear and nice checking to the nitro finish.

This incredibly rare guitar was part of a limited run in ‘83 where only 200 ‘Standard 83’ models were manufactured, all with quilted burly maple tops and using the best materials Gibson had to offer. This is documented on the Les Paul forum (See photos for further information).

There isn’t much information about these rare guitars online, though Trogly’s YouTube video is certainly a helpful and informative starting point.
