Finished in a rich, vintage-inspired Antique Burst, this model pairs timeless aesthetics with Guild’s ultra-thin Vintage Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, giving it a smooth, satin-like feel and enhanced tonal openness.

Built in California during Guild’s modern USA production era, the F-40 Standard is designed to deliver maximum resonance, fast response, and a broken-in feel straight out of the case. The thin finish allows the tonewoods to “breathe” more freely, resulting in a more open and dynamic sound compared to traditional high-gloss instruments.
