C. F. Martin has been one of the most influential manufacturers of acoustic guitars for over 190 years. Many of the construction methods that are considered standard today were developed by Martin and have had a decisive influence on modern steel-string guitar construction. To this day, the name Martin stands for high-quality materials, precise workmanship and a characteristic sound that inspires musicians all over the world.

The guitar on offer here is a Martin 0-18 from 2021. The compact 0 design is one of Martin’s classic small-body models and is particularly appreciated for its direct response, clear tone development and very pleasant ergonomics. For fingerstyle players, blues and folk guitarists in particular, this format has been a firm favorite for decades.

The combination of a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany body provides the typical, balanced 18-style sound: a clearly defined bass range, warm and present mids and brilliant, very well resolving trebles. Thanks to the scalloped X-bracing, the top responds particularly quickly and develops a lively dynamic with plenty of expression and transparency.

The condition of this Martin 0-18 is very good. The frets show little to no signs of wear and overall the instrument is in extremely good condition. The string action is pleasantly adjusted and ensures very comfortable playability across the entire fingerboard.
