Since its introduction in 1958, the Gibson ES-335 Dot has been a fixture in the history of rock music with its characteristically warm sound. This ES-335 Figured Antique Natural is based on the 1950s models and combines all the details that made this semi-acoustic guitar so popular.

The guitar comes from Gibson's Memphis, USA, facility and features a classic Antique Natural finish that beautifully showcases the spectacular flamed tonewood grain. In addition to the hollow maple body, the instrument has a solid maple center block, a glued mahogany neck, and a bound rosewood fingerboard with the sparkling pearl dot inlays that give this model its name. The playability is very comfortable, thanks in particular to the medium-width neck profile, which tends towards the '60s, and the professionally upgraded 43.1mm bone nut.

In terms of sound, the guitar is equipped with two Gibson Classic '57 humbuckers, which allow for classic jazz and blues sounds as well as honest rock and groovy funk riffs. The characteristic warm midrange sound is very versatile and makes the guitar an absolute all-rounder: from the screaming and carrying tone of Eric Clapton's “Woman Tone” to Noel Gallagher's slightly snotty harmonies to Joe Bonamassa's modern high-octane blues or Cris Cornell's experimental soundscapes, the 335 plays everything very reliably.

This Gibson ES-335 Dot Figured was manufactured at the now closed Memphis factory and boasts outstanding build quality that is now only found on Gibson instruments in a significantly higher price range.

The guitar is in excellent condition and is technically flawless. Visually, the guitar shows only a occasional finest wear (see pictures). The frets are almost flawless.
