A German high-end product using tube technology with extensive tone controls and a compressor/limiter. It sounds truly excellent and is easily comparable to MANLEY or similar brands.

I connected the unit to my Mac M1 computer either via AES/EBU or via the analog outputs and the included ESI interface (included), which worked flawlessly. The unit was also used for recording the latest live CD by Grammy-nominated Jan Garbarek.

Since some of the push buttons became stuck (perhaps due to gumming up?) after prolonged storage, I had a friend who runs a specialist company replace all of them with new ones in May of this year (2025) and checked all functions – the invoice is available for review.

So the unit is in perfect working order and sounds absolutely fantastic! Unlike other Mindprint DTC units offered online, mine includes both digital options ever produced! Collection or insured shipping via DHL – collection is preferred. If I have to ship it, I would pack the unit completely in foam to protect it from impacts, but the risk would then be on your side!

The 2-channel MindPrint DTC is the result of intensive research in the field of analog signal processing. Particular emphasis was placed on transformers, optocouplers, and tubes, ultimately resulting in one of the most powerful recording front ends available. The specially developed Haufe transformers in the microphone input, in conjunction with a dedicated amplifier circuit, ensure optimal adaptation to microphone signals. The EQ operates using a parallel signal path concept, leaving unprocessed frequency ranges completely passive. The 12AX7 tube, with its natural saturation characteristics, acts as a limiter, imparting the typical tube sound to the signal.
