Bowers & Wilkins 803 S1 90s

B&W Matrix 803 Series 1. Unused for 20 years or so. They are well preserved and in fine condition. The main cab and speakers are in very good condition, but the tweeters need some care and repair. Parts and Technical Manual for Matrix 803 are not available directly from B&W, as they have no suitable alternatives.

There are 3rd party repair companies who can deal with these and who can be found on the Internet.

They are based in America, but from feedback, have provided a good service to customers in Europe previously. *Please note that B&W has no ties or affiliation with this company*

Generally, the tweeters need coil substitution and some check-ups. You can note from the pictures that the connection pins from one of the tweeter harnesses to the tweeter are corroded and should also be cleaned or replaced. These are a standard Molex product, MOLEX PIN 02-06-2103 18-24AWG.

Overall, some minimal wear. The frontal covers are included, they have some wear as you can see.

If you're willing, these are a good investment for vintage hifi sound.
