With the Takamine GD74CE-12U NAT, the Japanese manufacturer presents a 12-string acoustic guitar of its G-Series Specials that will delight singer-songwriters. This electro-acoustic dreadnought not only impresses with a proven tonewood combination, an integrated pickup and a high level of playing comfort, but also with an attractive look. The result is an instrument that combines a full sound with pleasant playability and a great design. The top is a robust gig bag is included for smooth transportation.

The heart of the sound production of this acoustic guitar is undoubtedly its solid spruce top, which produces an improved vibration behaviour for a high sound volume. In addition, this popular tonewood shines with clarity and its fast treble response, which makes every note sound with exceptional precision. The treble-emphasised sound is complemented by laminated maple back and sides, which add a concise high-mid range with long sustain to the overall sound, resulting in an expressive balance.

The player-ergonomic features include, in particular, the practical cutawaywhich provides effortless access to the high registers. This allows the guitar's potential to be fully exploited with virtuoso and equally varied fingering patterns and runs. Equipped with an in-house pickup with the specially developed TP-3G preamp, the Takamine GD74CE-12U NAT also offers absolute listening pleasure when amplified. The easy-to-use Preamp in the upper bout has flexible setting options that offer precise individual tuning of the sound. These include a volume control a 3-band equaliser for bass, mids and treble and, as a practical bonus, an integrated tuner for lightning-fast tuning of the instrument in any playing situation.

The guitar is rounded off by its natural finish in high-gloss lacquer, which highlights the grain of the tonewoods on the one hand and presents an appealing vintage charm on the other. Meanwhile, the pearloid pickguard and the special abalone inlay on the twelfth fret add shimmering accents. Finally, a Native American-style binding and rosette create a fine frame that emphasises the curved contours of the guitar and defines its shape in a subtle way.
