A fully analog, "super-jumbo" fuzz pedal featuring a footswitchable booster and a variable filter, capable of producing both modern and vintage fuzz tones. A toggle switch allows you to choose between silicon or germanium diode clipping; the germanium setting delivers a warm, woolly sound reminiscent of a tube amplifier, while the silicon setting provides a sharper, more aggressive fundamental tone. The "contour" switch lets you choose between a boost in the low-mid range or a "scooped" mid-range. The "sweep" control—active only when the contour mode is engaged—offers even greater tone-shaping possibilities.
In short, the Pigtronix Star Eater provides an accessible way to craft your own signature fuzz sound!
