Used Yanagisawa A-990 Alto Saxophone with Case

Yanagisawa A-990

This Yanagisawa appears to be a model from the late ’80s or early ’90s.

Based on its serial number, it seems to be an A-990, but strangely, the model name isn’t marked on the instrument.

This saxophone (alto) belonged to my father, who played the instrument for a little over a year. Because of this, I don’t think it was used excessively; he practiced very little and took lessons only once a week, so the instrument was never played in concerts or taken on tours, for example.

It appears to be in relatively good condition, even though it has a few micro-scratches and some deeper ones—but nothing that would make it in poor condition. The pads seem to be in good condition, although it’s hard for me to judge, since I myself am unable to produce a sound on this instrument.

That’s actually why I’m selling it.

Ce Yanagisawa semble etre un modèle des années fin 80 début 90.

De par son numéro de série, il semblerait qu'il corresponde à un A-990, mais étrangement, le nom du modèle ne figure pas sur l'instrument.

Ce Saxophone (Alto) appartenait à mon père, qui a du pratiquer l'instrument durant un peu plus d'un an. De ce fait je pense qu'il n'a pas excessivement servi, il pratiquait peu, et prenait son cours 1 fois par semaine, l'instrument n'a jamais joué en concert ou subit des tournées par exemple.

Il semble en relativement bon état même s'il présente quelques micro-rayures et certaines plus profondes, mais rien qui ne le rende en un état médiocre. Les tampons semblent être en bon état, même s'il m'est difficile de juger, n'étant moi-même incapable de tirer un son de cet instrument.

Je le vends d'ailleurs pour cette raison.
