Fostex R8 8-Track Reel-to-Reel Recorder
Fully functional Fostex R8 8-track reel-to-reel recorder.
All 8 channels have been tested and are working properly. Recording, playback, fast forward/rewind, locator functions and pitch control all work as intended.
The tape heads are in good condition – please see the photos for their current state.
Known issues / missing parts:
- The cap/knob of the pitch control is missing. The pitch control itself is fully functional.
- The right-side mounting point of the removable front cover is broken. The cover is included and stays in place, but does not sit perfectly on the right side.
- One reel holder/retainer is missing.
Cosmetically, the unit shows normal signs of use consistent with its age. Please refer to the photos for the exact cosmetic condition.
A great machine for analog recording, home studios, vintage recording setups or collectors.
