I’m selling a fantastic little tube classic in a pocket-sized format: my original Vox Lil’ Night Train (NT2H) tube amplifier head.

The amp is in very good condition (see photos) and works perfectly. If you’re looking for that legendary British “Vox chime” but want an amp that’s ideal for the living room, studio, or easy transport, this is a great choice. Despite its extremely compact size and low weight, this tiny all-tube amp delivers a genuinely grown-up tube sound with excellent dynamics.

Vox Lil’ Night Train highlights:

• Genuine all-tube sound: Equipped with two 12AX7 tubes in the preamp and one 12AU7 tube in the power amp, it delivers crystal-clear cleans, creamy blues crunch, and serious high-gain distortion at living-room-friendly volume levels (2 watts).
• Versatile EQ & mode switch: In addition to Treble and Bass controls, the amp features a Bright/Thick switch. In “Bright” mode, the EQ operates in the traditional way. Switch to “Thick” and the EQ is bypassed, giving you a fat, unfiltered gain boost for rich and powerful lead tones.
• Headphone/Line Out with speaker simulation: A brilliant feature for silent practice or direct recording! The headphone output simulates the sound of a real guitar cabinet, allowing you to enjoy the characteristic tube tone even at very low volume.
• Iconic mirror-finish design: The rugged, fully chrome-plated metal housing in the classic Night Train style is not only extremely sturdy, but also a real eye-catcher on any desk or speaker cabinet.

Condition & included accessories:

The amplifier has always been treated with care and has only been used in a smoke-free and pet-free environment. The chrome housing still has a beautiful shine, all controls operate smoothly and without scratching or crackling, and the tubes are still performing perfectly.

The matching power cable is, of course, included.

The tube amp can be viewed and tested through a speaker cabinet in 86444 Affing, Germany, by prior arrangement. Insured shipping is also possible if the buyer covers the shipping costs.
