Up for sale is a rare piece of DJ history: a vintage 1970s Meteor Light & Sound Clubman One-One (Model 111A). This model is highly collectible as it was one of the very first mixers to introduce the crossfader to the DJ world, making it a pivotal piece of gear in the early New York Disco and Hip-Hop scenes.
I have it listed in "Very Good" condition, but as you can see in the photos, it is exceptionally clean for being around 50 years old. It even comes with the original manufacturer box, foam inserts, and original paperwork, which is incredibly hard to find today. The woodgrain side panels and front faceplate are in great shape with minimal wear.
A few quick notes on the hardware:
- Controls: 2 turntable faders with the historic crossfader, mic level, phones level, talkover switch, and a lo-filter switch.
- I/O: 2 Phono RCA inputs (L/R) and 2 sets of RCA outputs.
- Cosmetics: There is a small hand-engraved owner ID ("Lmc 66902") on the upper right of the back panel—a very common practice to deter theft back in the day.
This is a perfect addition for a vintage audio collector or a DJ looking to own a genuine piece of the craft's roots. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
