This is the most sought-after "silver screw/long dash" version in terms of sound—the most "juicy," saturated with charmonics (unlike the earlier versions, which are much brighter and not as saturated). Online, on a well-known video portal, you'll find comparisons of the 1978 vs. 1984 version (DS-1 ET-28F). The 1984 version has the same chip, but slightly changed components (foil capacitors, J-fett transistors, etc.). It doesn't sound as dazzling, but it will give you a sense of the "bright sound" of the earlier revisions.

That's why this version is priced at over $1,000 (you'll find at least two such offers on Reverb).

The product has undergone a professional electronic overhaul. Each key component (capacitors, transistor, chip) has been measured for its parameters.
