Here we have a super rare 1950's Rek-O-Kut Imperial Record Cutting Lathe with built in tube preamp.

These are incredibly rare and seldom come up for sale!

This unit is being sold by the estate of the owner.

Cosmetically the player is in excellent condition for the age with only slight normal wear and tear.

The player is missing the top wood cover. Otherwise complete.

I have gone over the unit and I had the tube pre-amp serviced. It has had some capacitors and tubes replaced and is in good working order. The meter works.

The turntable works well on both speeds, I have not tested the lathe portion as I dont have any blank discs to try to cut.

The tone arm for the record player does need some work on the counter weight. Its too bottom heavy as the head is loaded with a lighter modern cartridge. You may want to install a proper era correct mono GE cartridge or something similar that has more weight. So you may need a lighter counter weight on the end of the tone arm if you want to use the record player portion.

Due to the age the player is being sold as is with no returns. It will be very well packed for transport.
