1950's 10" WFL Professional Tambourine with not one but two rows of jingles.
Special order item No. 95A from the 1951 WFL catalog.
These don't come up for sale very often, especially the double row version.
This one is in pretty nice condition. The calf head is still tight (when the room temperature allows), it does have an old stain, the darker area in the photos. It kind of looks like a natural cow pattern. The shell is not exactly perfectly round anymore, if it ever was, but it sounds great. The outer ply of the shell has some crackling, but it's very solid. One of the jingle disc has a small dent in it. There's some old sticker residue inside the shell, it might have been a WFL label or the price tag. Too bad it's been half peeled.
See photos.
The WFL ink logo is nice and clear under the head.
For the vintage Ludwig / WFL lover and collector.
