Germanian Transistor Stereo Voice 218A Early to mid 60's

This receiver is an extremely rare and unique piece of audio history featuring Germanian transistors. The unit was manufactured in Japan. If the model or name appears obscure it is because the unit was custom manufactured for a now defunct Toronto Hi Fi company. It is in near pristine condition. Fully tested and working perfectly. Some lamps are out on the display but given the rarity and uniqueness of the receiver I left them as is. The only work done appears to be replacement of the power supply capacitor But the original canister is still there. Here is an opertunity to hear the difference between a receiver featuring Germanian and those with Silicon transistors. This is a clean sounding unit with clean electronics. Tested with a Sony PS-X45 turntable and Pioneer 8 ohm bookshelf speakers. The sound is rich,detailed and warm. A great piece for the serious vintage collector.
