The Rupert Neve Designs Portico II Channel is a premier single channel strip based around the topology of the 5088 console, producing a stunning three-dimensional sound for any sound source thrown at it. A high-headroom mic/line/DI input stage with switchable "Silk" and variable harmonic texture control feeds into a highly tunable 4-band EQ. This equalizer borrows some elements from classic Neve designs while also getting tight and surgical when necessary. The high-frequency band can be fine tuned for the de-esser circuit, which is remarkably transparent and easy to dial in. Take this EQ and switch it pre- or post-compressor. With feed-forward and feedback modes, this compressor is similar to the Portico 5043 compressor module, capable of a wide range of dynamic control and shaping. The Portico II Channel is an incredible choice for your lead vocal chain or any overdub that needs to shine through the rest of the mix.
