Here we have a very cool, uncommon, all original, 1960s, Made in New Zealand Jansen Victor.

The Victor is considered one of the very first models produced by the brand, typically featuring a maple body, distinctive original Jansen pickups, and sometimes push-button controls.

It’s celebrated as a highly collectible, lightweight, and retro-sounding piece of vintage offset history.

Handcrafted in New Zealand, making it a sought-after rarity for collectors globally.

Originally designed to be a smaller, lightweight student guitar. Jansen also manufactured tube and solid-state amplifiers in the 1960s (such as the Jansen 6 Thirty or Bassman lines). Many collectors and musicians in vintage guitar communities discuss how Jansen amplifiers rival iconic American models (like Fender's Twin Reverbs) due to their incredible clean tones, vibrato, and lush built-in spring reverb

“Amazing # 57. That is definitely in the very first batch.

Interesting how they evolved as they increased production. Changing pic guard material and graphics, also changing fret dots to half dots like the Rickenbacker's. As far as I know they came out in three finishes two tone burst, red and Natural. Hang on to that one it's a beauty. I will send a friend request and you can browse through the stuff I've restored and some shots of the guitars Dad mate including prototype in 1942.”
