The Roland Boutique JX-03 is a compact 4-voice synthesizer module released in 2015 as a limited-edition run. It uses Roland’s Digital Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology to model the exact sound and behavior of the 1983 Roland JX-3P synthesizer and its companion PG-200 hardware programmer.

- Filter: 24dB/octave low-pass filter (VCF) and a non-resonant high-pass filter (HPF).
- LFO: 1 dedicated LFO with Sine, Triangle, Sawtooth, and Random waveforms.
- Envelopes: 1 ADSR envelope shared across the filter and amplifier.

- Controls: 24 rotary knobs and sliders inherited directly from the vintage PG-200 controller layout.
- Touch Strips: Dual ribbon controllers for pitch bend, modulation, and sound previewing.
- Enclosure: Highly durable metal front panel with a hard plastic underside.
- Portability: Compact footprint measuring 300 mm x 128 mm x 46 mm (11.8" x 5.0" x 1.8").
- Weight: 940 grams (approx. 2 lbs) including batteries.
🎵 Sequencer & Effects
- Sequencer: 16-step, 16-pattern internal sequencer.
- Effects: Built-in Digital Chorus (reproducing the iconic JX-3P chorus effect) and a dedicated Delay effect.
- Chain Mode: Allows linking two JX-03 modules together via MIDI to double the polyphony to 8 voices.

- Audio Out: Stereo 3.5mm (1/8") mini-jack output.
- Audio In: Stereo 3.5mm (1/8") mini-jack input for routing other gear through the unit.
- Headphones: Stereo 3.5mm (1/8") mini-jack.
- MIDI: Standard 5-pin MIDI IN and MIDI OUT ports.
- USB: Micro-USB port for MIDI, 24-bit/44.1kHz audio interface capabilities, and power.
- Power Source: Runs on USB bus power or 4 x AA alkaline/Ni-MH batteries.
- Docking Options: Fits directly into the optional Roland K-25m 25-key keyboard bed or the DK-01 boutique dock.
