A highly popular model among practical and beautiful 6-string headless basses has arrived!

This particular instrument boasts a flowing grain pattern on the top plate, striking burl wood grain, and a beautiful contrast of light and dark tones reminiscent of an ink painting—a truly artistic piece!

In addition to the portability that is the greatest advantage of the headless style, this bass also offers exceptional playability.

And above all, it features meticulous attention to "bass sound." Ibanez Bass Workshop has re-examined headless basses, which were often criticized for being "not resonant" or "difficult to use," and created the completely new headless bass, the "EHB."

Ergonomic body design

The EHB body design is ergonomically designed to fit the player perfectly, whether standing or sitting.

The horn balances the body and neck when standing and is shaped for easy handling, while the body curve on the treble string side is designed with particular emphasis on fit and balance when sitting.

The body surface has a contoured section where the elbow rests. Furthermore, all body edges that come into contact with the body are finished with a smooth radius.

Slanted body back

The back of the body is boldly cut to become thinner towards the bass strings. This enhances the fit when seated and is designed with the viewing angle of the fretboard inlays in mind.

In addition, the back of the horn on the treble string side is cut in a scoop shape to facilitate access to the higher frets.

Chambered body

The body is chambered to allow for a more intuitive feel of its resonance.

By experiencing the vibrations within the body directly, similar to a hollow body, the player will be able to better recognize the sound they are producing.

This also contributes to a slight reduction in weight.

Vari-Mid 3-Band EQ with EQ Bypass Switch

As the abbreviation for Variable frequency control for Mid EQ suggests, this EQ offers flexible control over the mid-range frequencies.

Typically, a 3-band EQ divides the frequency range into three bands (HIGH/MID/LOW) and allows the developer to control boost or cut by focusing on a frequency range they arbitrarily designate. However, with the Vari-Mid, the user can arbitrarily adjust the Mid focus.

MR5HS mono rail bridge with string spacing adjustable saddles

Features a uniquely designed, newly developed bridge specifically for headless guitars.

Tuning is done by rotating the bridge end. In addition to its unique design, it uses Teflon washers for easy rotation.

The saddles can be moved 1.5mm to the left or right, allowing you to arbitrarily set the string spacing (string pitch) within the movable range. This allows for fine-tuning to suit your playing style.

Newly designed headpieces for EHB

A uniquely designed, newly developed headpiece.

Strings can be easily set and released by turning it from the back with a hex wrench.
