Up for sale is an exceptionally clean, 100% all-original 1974 Fender Champ 6-string lap steel complete with its original factory hardshell case. If you have been looking for a collector-grade 1970s Fender steel that hasn't been gigged hard, modified, or abused, this is the one.
Condition & Cosmetics
This instrument is in Excellent to Near-Mint condition.
- Body & Finish: The classic blonde/natural finish is incredibly vibrant. Unlike most instruments from this era, the back of the body is perfectly clean with zero deep scratches, or stand burns. The edges and corners are entirely free of the usual nicks and bumps.
- Hardware: The chrome bridge plate, control plate, and original control knobs are bright and clean with no pitting or oxidation.
- Case: The original hardshell case is fully intact. All latches, hinges, and the handle work perfectly, and the plush red interior lining has kept the steel safely preserved for decades.
