Here for sale we have a Schecter Omen-8 8-String Electric Guitar in Black finish. Made in Korea in 2011, this bolt-on construction guitar consists of a Basswood body, a Maple neck, and a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Schecter sealed Chrome mini tuners, an 8-saddle hardtail bridge, and two Schecter-branded Humbuckers that are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.

The Maple neck plays well, with the 'D' neck profile feeling slim and ergonomic in the hand, allowing for great thumb placement all across the neck, whilst the Rosewood fingerboard and jumbo frets provide a robust playing experience that feels rock solid under the fingers, whilst enhancing string bending and vibrato techniques. The 16" radius ensures that the playing experience is tailored to the needs of the player in all registers. Jumbo frets increase sustain whilst enhancing the feel of vibrato and string bending techniques, providing an even and balanced feel across the strings, particularly in drop tunings. The double cutaway body design provides unobstructed access to the upper register, making solo lines a breeze.

The Omen-8 comes equipped with a set of Schecter-branded Humbucker pickups. This pair of passive humbuckers provide a surprisingly diverse range of tones. Clean sounds are rich and warm in the neck position, and as you would expect, these pickups can handle a serious amount of gain. Crushing tones in the bridge position remain tight and focussed, ensuring that your fast, low riffing retains definition.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall good condition. All edges of the headstock display light to mild indentation and chipping to the finish, the most prominent of these can be seen to the front face near the low E tuning machine, this has exposed the wood beneath. Light to mild scratching is present to the front face, these can be seen under direct light as is common with high gloss finishes. The treble side corner of the rear face demonstrates red paint transfer that could not be removed by our cleaning process. The lettering to the serial number on the rear face has started to fade away, with this mild discoloration is present from where the sticker used to be.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Mild indentation is present to the rear of the neck behind frets 7-10, these have broken through the finish and can also be felt under the thumb in the playing position. Slight discoloration is present to the rear of the neck, this is common with natural finished necks and regular past use.

Body: Overall good condition. All aspects of the body display light to mild indentations, some of which have broken through the finish exposing the wood beneath. The most notable of these can be seen on the front face treble side edge of the lower bout edge and waist, where the finish has pierced to reveal the wood beneath. Scuff marks are apparent to the bass side of the lower bout, near where the forearm rests. Light to moderate scratching is present to all aspects of the body some of which can only be seen under direct light whilst the more moderate ones can be seen with the naked eye. The more moderate of these can be seen to the rear face, lower bout edge near the strap button  and below the bridge to the front face.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Overall good condition. The original bridge has been replaced, with the new bridge sitting slightly higher than the original, resulting in a slightly higher action, the new owner may choose to replace the bridge or shim the neck for a lower action. The original bridge is not included. The control knobs have also been replaced with the original knobs not being included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2.5mm

The original bridge has been replaced, with the new bridge sitting slightly higher than the original, resulting in a slightly higher action, the new owner may choose to replace the bridge or shim the neck for a lower action.

Gator Hard Case

Fully functional and good condition. All aspects of the case demonstrate moderate signs of previous use. One of the clasps has broken. The outer shell has various scuff marks and a red pentagram painted on by a previous owner. The inner lining is in very good condition.
