What else can you say about the legendary Ludwig Acrolite? The drum was initially designed to be a lightweight, affordable snare drum for 5th graders to play in beginning band. Before long studio players discovered their warmth and focus made them extremely "Microphone friendly".
This particular one has been in my personal collection of gigging and recording snares. This is my first pick snare for rock gigs where we need to keep the volume in check. It's dramatically quieter than the equivalent brass or steel snare. It's also been my "go-to" recording snare just because it sounds so great. I have 2 of these drums. They're identical and I really only need one.
It has some scrapes and scuffs as seen in the pictures, and the badge is loose. Otherwise, it's in great shape. It's all there. Nothing broken missing or damaged.
Comes with vintage Ludwig hard case.
