I purchased this piano brand new in the spring of 1980 from Mother's Music on Whyte Ave in Edmonton. I played it in a wedding band from 1980-1982, less than 25 total gigs. It has been in my possession ever since, carefully stored, and rarely used. I had it serviced by O'Neill Piano in Edmonton in November 2025 - tuned and detailed action regulaton. They indicated that the "Piano is in excellent condition overall. Action is fully functional and tone is very consistent throughout. Electrical is fully functional." "Recommended potential servicing in future: replacement of neoprene hammer tips, replacement of tonebar screws and grommets." This is a beautiful lightly used classic vintage instrument in excellent condition which justifies the asking price. Buyer needs to be aware that 2 modifications were made post purchase: 1) The original large plastic knob with screw that screwed the rear leg struts into the piano bottom broke soon after I purchased it. I replaced it with a custom welded all-metal screw apparatus that is stronger than the original. 2) The weld of the right front metal plate (that is attached to the bottom of the piano) which one of the front legs screws into, also broke. Again, I had a custom welded repair made that makes it stronger than the original. Also, the "R" letter in the Rhodes nameplate on the front of the piano came off, but it has been lightly glued back on. The outside of the case is in excellent condition with only a few minor scuffs, the piano is extremely clean, and the keys are in pristine shape. *PLEASE NOTE: BUYER WILL HAVE TO SOURCE AND PAY FOR ALL SHIPPING COSTS. SHIPPING IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PURCHASE PRICE.
