Note that this amp aim at playing with distortion, not clean tones, which it hasn't got much anyway: it gets overdriven clickly - around 9'oclock.
Balanced sound : sound emphasis is not on the highs as the shimmy British invasion (AC30), not on the mids as the compressed Heart Attack (Mesa Rectifier), or on the lows as the Vulcan 5-0 (5150).
Good for rock, some metal, alternative and "grunge" - although for that last genre, the Vulcan 5-0 would probably be even better.
