The comments below were provided by an excellent amplifier repair tech that inspected the amp.

"This is a 1966 Fender Showman in completely original condition.

It appears to have original stock tube complement of 4X RCA BlackPlate 6l6, 2X RCA 12ax7, Amperex 12ax7, and GE 12at7.

Power tubes test all relatively the same as shown, though are a bit noisy due to their age.

Scope picture is of the amplifier at approximately 50% full power.

B+ ripple is too high, meaning this amplifier should have the power supply filter capacitors replaced to ensure reliable operation.

I would recommend this amplifier be refiltered for any prolonged use, in order to prevent any damage from occurring.

In my opinion of fixing guitar amplifiers for 30 years as a day job, I believe every single solder connection is original, right down to the 2 prong AC.

Hardware appears original as well.

Serial # is off by 4000 from the stamp, though I suspect that is merely a factory anomoly.

Amplifier could be made playable for $250 CAD over owners selling price, dependent on buyers capacitor choice.

This would require only 3 primary filters and one bias capacitor."

The two speaker cabinet is in very good condition, although the bottom does show some wear as would be expected on a unit that has been transported and used. The side stands are intact and in excellent shape. The interior of the cabinet is super clean and contains 2 - 15" James B. Lansing Sound D130F speakers.

I left this unit completely stock. It can only be that way once! If you want to play this on a regular basis, it can be done for a relatively small cost as noted in the tech’s report.
