A Swiss classic from Bonham to Copeland...

All drummers know this: a good drummer can make any kit sing but no drummer can make cheap cymbals sound good. Here is a vintage set of Paiste 2002 Series B20 Bronze Medium 14" Hi Hats (Serial 135827). This is one of my personal sets from 1973-79 and in great condition but patina'd with age and with stick marks. They have been recorded with and powered through many live shows. They have mellowed with patina into a lovely, rich, crisp sound. Vintage 2002 Series Paistes are known for having a deeper, darker tone than the contemporary 2002 Series. These are the real deal with a vintage sound that contemporary hats (even 2020s) can't duplicate. Paiste stopped making Swiss B20 bronze cymbals in 1989 when production was moved to Germany. late 1973-1979 serial numbers : 13xxxx to 19xxxx

17xxxx is from around '77 or '78, a lower third digit (171xxx-174xxx) likely from '77 while a higher third digit (175xxx-179xxx) puts you around '78, serial# 196181 is from about '79.

1980 serial numbers: 20xxxx - 21xxxx

1981-1986 serial numbers: 22xxxx-3xxxxx
