Aurora Audio GT4-2 Stereo Equalizer

The Lowdown..

I've made the decision to drastically simplify my studio life and sell all my analogue outboard, aside from my 2 aurora preamps and overstayer. This is one of the few pieces left.

Here we have an Aurora Audio GT4-2, a very capable and sweet sounding transformer 4 band stereo EQ with very wide gain controls (see pic from manual for bands). If you crank to teh max on a tight Q, it can self oscillate.. it's by design. But if you use tastefully - it's killer on all sorts of things you'd want some Nevesque style flavour - drums, guitars, synths, vocals.. master mix etc... (I used it with a Dangerous S&M to use it for MS shaping on my stereo mixes.

I'm the original owner and received it in mid-december 2015. Geoff Tanner signed the top. I've had a piece of paper taped over it to keep that protected.

Cosmetically

it's pretty good - like most gear - there's some scratches on the rack top/underside from general moving between racks... and there's a little bit of paint chipped on the top left area of the chassis - this kind of paint is notorious for that happening - and it's all the same on my aurora pre-amps and my Chandler TG1 and germanium EQs.

The front face is very good. Just a teeny scratch above the 4-2 silk screen. On the pic of the front turned on, it looks like there's a scratch on the Ch2 LPF frequency dial near 18Hz.. but that's just a hair... it's gone now :)

NOTE: the Left Channel LPF Button (green) - feels a touch loose if you physically grab the button housing and rotate. But under real-world usage - ie: pressing the button - it's a non-issue and everything works as it should. I have reached out to Aurora to see if I can get a replacement switch and will ...... switch it out.. (wah wah).. but as it is, there's no issue in function/operation of it... so i consider it a moot point.
