Engineered with an innovative Performance X™ bracing pattern, the Fender California Vintage Palomino's mid-size auditorium body is lightly crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides to effortlessly produce a versatile, articulate voice with exceptional detail, clarity and balance. A modern ergonomic “V” profile was chosen for the okoume neck with a 25.5” scale length for optimal sustain and a 6-string tilting headstock with matching headstock cap for a distinctive look born from Fender electric guitar DNA. Other notable details include an ovangkol fingerboard with pearloid block inlays for a throwback look, vintage-style tuners for smooth and precise tuning, and a bone nut and bridge for superior harmonic character. Designed with the performer in mind, the onboard Fishman® Presys VT Plus preamp system features soundhole-mounted controls that combine an under-bridge piezo and an internal body transducer to enable faithful and reliable reproduction of the guitar’s natural tone when plugged into an amplifier or recording device. A vintage-style hardshell case is included.
