The LS1/LS2 panel is manufactured from fine glass fibers of borosilicate obtained by a
rotary process, linked with a special thermosetting resin to produce a structurally rigid panel insulator. The countless air spaces in The LS1/LS2 panel create an effective sound absorption as well as thermal properties. The noise perceived coming from the movement of air and mechanical equipment is significantly reduced.
It is then covered with an acoustic fabric with a coefficient of noise reduction (NRC) in front of the anechoic termination of 0.95-1.00. The NRC of the combined LS1/LS2 varies between 0.90 and 1.05 depending on the acoustic fabric.
