The 55-02 has our familiar MM/J pickup configuration and a 3-band custom preamp like the US model 55-94 uses. The control of the 55-02 is the same as the 55-01 except that the total volume potentiometer can be pulled up and the active electronics are turned off. The 55-02 also has a 3-position bridge pickup switch.
