Moog Subharmonicon — Semi-Modular Polyrhythmic Analog Synthesizer
The Subharmonicon is Moog's deep dive into subharmonic synthesis and polyrhythmic sequencing — a design lineage that runs back to the Trautonium and Rhythmicon. Two analog VCOs, each with two subharmonic oscillators derived by integer division, give you six-tone chords from a single patch. Two four-step sequencers clock against four rhythm generators that divide the master tempo, so patterns phase and interlock in ways a conventional sequencer can't touch.
Highlights:
- 2 VCOs + 4 subharmonic oscillators (6 voices total)
- Two 4-step sequencers, assignable to oscillator groups
- 4 polyrhythm generators dividing the clock
- Classic Moog ladder filter and analog VCA
- 32-point patchbay — plays standalone or integrates fully with Eurorack, Mother-32, and DFAM
- MIDI in, Eurorack-format and fits standard 60HP
