Our 9-42 Perfect Steel set combines easy bends and a light playing feel with the resonance and flexibility of round-core construction. The set includes .009, .011, .016, .024w, .032w and .042w strings, making it a familiar extra-light choice for standard tuning, expressive lead playing and players who prefer lower fretting tension.
The wound strings use 8% nickel-plated Canadian steel wrap wire over our proprietary zinc-plated high-carbon steel round core. The result is a clean, responsive voice with strong harmonic detail, smooth sustain and a more elastic feel under the fingers. Canadian famous, they're perfect.
Our 3 micron zinc-plated high-carbon steel core wire adds a tighter, rounder voice than ordinary cores, smoothing the edge for a more natural and musical response. Combined with a round core construction, these strings offer exceptional resonance, flexibility, and sustain—bringing out the best tone from your guitar instead of muzzling its tone with the stiffness and compromise of hex-core construction.
