The Spider III 75 is Line 6's 75 watt 1x12 modeling combo, built around the Spider amp modeling engine and a Celestion Custom Design G12P-80 speaker. It covers a wide range of amp voicings from clean and twang through crunch, metal and insane, with a built-in effects section offering chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, sweep echo, tape echo and reverb. The Preset knob gives access to over 400 stored settings, including more than 200 tones based on rock star rigs and more than 150 built around well known songs, so a player can move from one recognisable sound to the next without building a patch from scratch.

This was the practice and small stage workhorse of the Spider III line, loud enough for a band room and simple enough that the amp model knob and four tone controls do most of the work. It takes an FBV series footswitch for hands free channel and effect switching, and it has a CD/MP3 input and a headphone output for quiet practice. The Spider III series has been out of production for years, replaced by the Spider IV and later generations, and the 75 watt version with the Celestion loaded 12 remains the one players look for in the range.

Condition:

Used and honest looking, with cosmetic wear to the tolex and corners and scuffs along the cabinet edges, all shown in the photos.

There is some dust and grime around the rear jack panel, which is the usual film that collects on a working amp. Nothing structural is noted and the cabinet, grille and handle are intact.

Q: Does it come with a footswitch?
A: No. The amp has an FBV footswitch jack, but no footswitch is included. A Line 6 FBV Express or FBV Shortboard is the usual pairing for channel and effect switching.
