The Marantz 2230b receiver I am selling is fully functional. I have not used it for many years but it has been stored in a clean and dry environment. There is certainly dust accumulated on the circuit boards as I have never opened the unit up.
I recently (Aug 2026) connected a turntable and it works. I also connected a cd player to the aux input and it works. Both sound great. The receiver works, both AM and FM work correctly. The FM needed an antenna to pick up a signal. I used a 10 foot length of speaker wire as an antenna. I don't have a tape deck so I was not able to test the tape inputs.
The unit has never been serviced. I imagine that an audiophile or someone with skill in refurbishing the unit would be interested.
There is a missing plastic cover on the speaker connector (see the pic). I had to use a bit of cloth on my finger to depress the connector as the metal connectors dig into your finger (ouch).
