This is one of those underrated pieces that does way more than people expect. Beyond traditional noise reduction, it’s been used as a creative vocal processor/tone shaper. it’s great for adding that polished, forward “pop” presence.

That kind of tight, controlled top-end and clarity you hear in modern pop (think engineers like Chris Lord-Alge working on artists like Katy Perry), this was a big part of that world.
