This is a rare Fender original Strat built in the USA, but for the foreign market. It is in great condition, has super playability and low action on a rosewood fretboard.  This is a killer guitar loaded with Custom Shop ’54 pickups. Sounds can be anywhere from true Stratocaster, to Telecaster tones.  

The finish is in excellent condition.   All original hardware with the exception of the pickups. 

Original hard shell case is in very good condition – all latches work.  Includes original whammy bar and included are extra set screws and Allen key to fit. 

Serial number FN204378 indicates this Fender USA Standard Stratocaster (Export Market /Traditional Series) was manufactured in 1993. 

Fender website serial number search refers it as a “FENDER STD. STRAT EXP RW AWT” 

• EXP: Export model (built for international distribution outside the United States).
• RW: Rosewood fretboard (fingerboard).
• AWT: Arctic White finish (body color). 

This guitar is a fascinating hybrid. To fulfill specific market demands, Fender combined American craftsmanship with streamlined components for foreign markets. 

• Origin Stamp: The front of the headstock features the standard Stratocaster script, while the back prominently displays "MADE IN U.S.A." below the serial number.
• Electronics: This was typically shipped with standard single-coil pickups featuring dual ceramic bar magnets on the bottom rather than Alnico poles. This guitar, however, has upgraded pickups – Fender Custom Shop ‘54’s!  The tone is amazing as a result.
• Hardware: These guitars built for export typically featured vintage-style or simplified bridge assemblies (this one is the simplified bridge version) and single-ply or multi-ply pickguards (this one is white/black/white multi-ply) depending on exact export destination requirements.
